1You should avoid jogging because it is jarring. Definitely avoid contact sports. I would assume that even in softball there is some running and there is the slight risk of being hit with the ball. Yes, the risks are probably pretty low, but why chance it?
Stick with things like yoga, swimming, going for walks or watching sports on tv. It’s only for a few months!

2Jogging is okay during pregnancy as long as your doctor approves it. They will also let you know when it is time to stop.
As for softball… there are risks involved. I’m sure your doctor would not want you sliding into bases or running into other girls. Also, could easily get hit in the stomach by a ball.

3My doctor told me I couldn’t ride my horses anymore
I guess that one is kind of a no-brainer though, huh? LOL.
Jogging is fine, and healthy for you, although in the second trimester, you may want to stick to walking. I’m not sure about softball. I used to play, and I certainly had my share of injuries even though it’s not technically a contact sport. I would avoid it.

4Both softball and jogging are fine provided you did those things before becoming pregnant. It’s not recommended to begin new sports/activities/exercise after getting pregnant, but maintaining your regular activities is fine.

5You cant do diving or horseback riding…
Maybe stop the baseball after 10-11 weeks when your uterus “pops” out, as a very hard blow to your tummy have the potential of harming your baby…
and congrats!

6I was told by my doc that you can pretty much do anything you did before pregnancy that is not going to cause a trauma. Softball and jogging should both be fine. Enjoy yourself and congrats!

7I think your fine jogging because your heart and body is already used to that. As far as softball I know it’s not meant to be a contact sport but at times it can be. Better be safe than sorry.
